Sjoerd van den Belt (EEMCS)

Nice to meet you! My name is Sjoerd, I am a fourth year student at the UT, starting my masters in Electrical Engineering. During my valuable time at the UT I have discovered that there is so much more to studying in Enschede than just finishing a degree. While I truly enjoy the technical aspects of my study, my board year at E.T.S.V. Scintilla has shown me the value of developing many skills outside the regular curriculum. My current position within the University Committee of Education makes me an experienced candidate for the university council. My main goals within UReka are to improve educational quality at a post-pandemic UT, and to emphasize the value of student activism. I am eager to work on the challenges that reintroducing physical education will bring, and to make sure student activism becomes as vivid as ever before!
